Letts’ Loudwater Legacy
On the morning of the 16th November
the Loudwater Combined School children
and staff arrived at school with great
excitement and anticipation, as today was
Street Art Drop day!
Loudwater Combined School teamed up with local artists Street Art Drop
and NEIDS to complete a collaborative art project. Led by the School
Council Leader, Miss Weston, Street Art Drop and NEIDS worked together
to design and create a Street Art wall celebrating 6 of the school’s values:
Friendship, Tolerance, Resilience, Respect, Trust and Happiness.
Whilst NEIDS began creating the amazing Street Art graffiti wall, Street
Art Drop was busy leading a 30 minute painting workshop for each of
Loudwater School’s 7 classes. Pupils from 4 years to 11 years participated in
a creative workshop where they each produced an amazing picture using
paints and a lollipop stick! During the workshops Street Art Drop selected
one piece of artwork from each class. The selected pieces will be on show
in the display cabinet forming part of the Letts’ Loudwater Legacy wall.
The school will use this display cabinet to continue to celebrate the artwork
of the pupils of Loudwater School, hence Letts’ Loudwater Legacy.
The occasion was marked by a returning visit from ex-Loudwater School
pupils who were part of the decision making and organisation of the Street
Art wall before moving on to their secondary schools this term.
The pupils and staff
of Loudwater School
would like to thank
Street Art Drop, NEIDS
and returning pupils
for their support and
