F L AC K W E L L L O C A L A R E A H i s to r y G ro up ‘FRACKLE’ PEOPLE AND PLACES - FROM ‘OLDEN TIMES’ TO THE 1950’s Monday 16th May 2016 at 7:30pm, Flackwell Heath Library Using pictures, poems and stories, past residents of ‘Frackle’ tell of working the farms, a shop keeper with questionable hygiene standards, neighbours who can’t seem to get past the pub, kindly landladies, ghosts and a mystery cave! Life revolved around scraping a living, so we hear about the ‘Fakirs’ chopping sticks and the kindly Squire. But the highlight of the year is the Chapel outing, with horse and cart, to Burnham Beeches. Don’t miss this entertaining evening with Jane Dunsterville This is a ticketed event. Tickets will be on sale at the library from Monday 4th April 2016 for £5 (£3 to friends of FHCL) FAMILY HISTORY RESEARCH HELP SESSIONS Would you like to learn about your family tree, but don’t know where to begin?
