“I’ll have the wobbly
bottom please”

And I am so glad that I
did. The Wobbly Bottom
Goat’s Cheese and Fig Tart
was an indulgent delight.
Smooth, creamy, locally
produced goats cheese
from Wobbly Bottom
Farm and freshly baked
figs was definitely the
correct choice of lunch for
me at this traditional, yet glamorous, country pub.
I say glamorous because The Royal Oak has
a state-of-the-art teepee in their garden. It’s
secluded from the main pub garden and has
been very tastefully designed in a landscaped
enclosure. We peeped inside (I’ve always
been nosy) and it was warm and cosy, with
leather sofas and faux fur pouffes, just right
for a special occasion with family or friends.
