I am not alone, however, as so many of you have been affected in one way or another. My thanks go to all the Hiya Bucks advertisers who rallied round to help out one of our readers recently – your help was very much appreciated. The facebook post about donations of toys for the children affected by the floods was met with such a huge response the hotel have been able to create a playroom! This proves to me that community spirit lives on and also, dare I say it, social media works. Moving on from the floods we have much to look forward to. There are plenty of events featured in this month’s magazine for you to enjoy and several local clubs, societies and charities who are trying to promote themselves. Please take a few minutes out of your busy day to have a read. The Hazlemere Players put on a terrific play in January – watch this space for news of their next production.
