Over the last three months my daughter has been on a strict nutritional diet to help her with her migraines. Having suffered with them for the last 10 years enough was enough and it was time to try a different route. Don’t get me wrong, the NHS have been helpful with scans and specialists, but at the end of the day they told us “there isn’t a cure for migraines”! We’ve all heard that cheese, chocolate and red wine can be trigger foods, but we needed more information. With the fantastic help and support of a local Nutritionist things are definitely looking up. It’s early days still but so far, so good, very good in actual fact. Looking at food packaging for detailed ingredients makes shopping even more of a chore, but we’re getting used to what’s allowed and what’s to be avoided now. And once you get your head around it, it’s actually not that bad, with Quinoa now being a firm favourite in our household.
