Starting off at the very beginning (31st May and 1st June) we have our very own Festival of Football taking place in Flackwell Heath (see page 45). Then on the 28th June we have Alex Jansons Legacy Football Festival taking place at John Hampden Grammar School (see page 2). Please spread the word around to all your friends and family and encourage support of these wonderful local events. Even Julie Martin, our “5 minutes with” interviewee this month, mentions football! June also sees the start of the Fifa World Cup on the 12th and then we have Father’s Day on the 15th and don’t forget about the Summer Solstice, or the longest day to you and me, which is on Saturday 21st this year.
