I’ve been running with the Outfit of the Month feature now for about 18 months and, to be honest, I’ve run out of independent boutiques who want to be featured in my magazine. So …. Welcome to my Best Buy of the Month. As I am sure you all know, I am a huge supporter of independent businesses, especially artisan ones, and most definitely ones right here in Buckinghamshire. I feel I have the most amazing opportunity of sharing these artisan producers with you via my magazines. I’ve begun, this month, with Natural Quilts. Have you heard of them? Jyoti Dalwadi, Natural Quilt’s entrepreneurial owner, was absolutely thrilled when I phoned her to explain. Last week, when I was dining at Coopers pop-up supper club, I mentioned to the couple sitting opposite this new feature (they were asking me what was appearing on the pages of the July editions). To my surprise, and relief, they got very excited about this new feature. It was some time ago that they came across Natural Quilts but had subsequently lost the contact details. So, Jyoti, I think you have your first Hiya Bucks order coming in from Amy and Darren very soon. Oh, and by the way, Amy has promised you a tasty competition prize for a future month. I haven’t forgotten about this Amy, so if you are reading please drop me an email! When someone promises me something I very rarely forget.
