have you heard of
AYUSH Apps?
Attention all Vegans –
Vegan Alternatives is a mobile app
created by Ayush Sanghavi, a 15 yr old
student from Beaconsfield.
Ayush created the app because he found it hard to find
food substitutes when he became vegan. The app provides
vegans and vegetarians with hundreds of substitutes to the foods that they can
no longer eat, or want to replace in their diet. It is available for Android, with iOS
coming soon. The app is constantly being updated and Ayush is always looking
to improve it and add new features.
Ayush told us “Animal rights charity PETA UK awarded me their Compassionate
Teen Award for my work on the app. Elisa Allen, Director of PETA UK, said that
my app would make it “easier than ever for people to choose cruelty-free meals”.
In October, after receiving an email from a colleague of mine at PETA UK, I was
invited onto BBC Radio 1’s The Surgery: Tech for Good show. I was interviewed
about my app and how I made it. I was then featured in international vegan
magazine VegPlanet, based in India.
Most recently, Vegan Alternatives
was featured in animal rights
charity Animal Equality's "Make the
Difference" newsletter, a publication
distributed to 100,000 students on
campuses across the country, and
was also featured on TryVeg.com.”
Hiya Bucks says:
Ayush wrote to us with this request:
“I would love to be featured in Hiya Bucks
Magazine because I believe that it would
be the perfect opportunity for me to raise
awareness of my apps and my cause, as
well as to inspire others, seeing as my news
is local. It would be a great reward for the
hundreds of hours of hard work I have put in!”
Hiya Bucks magazines are very proud to
support AYUSH Apps.
