January 2014 Letter from the Editor Well I must admit I quite like the month of January. I always think of Christmas and the New Year as being in the middle of winter and so when they are both over the evenings start to get a little lighter (in my mind they do anyway). Of course it’s a long way off the clocks going forward but we are past the halfway mark which has to be good news. January is also a time when I love to get back in the garden; December is always too busy with Christmas preparations so the garden gets overlooked. It’s nice to think a couple of hours gardening is burning off the calories from all those mince pies and glasses of ginger wine.
