We visited Beaconsfield Garden Centre (on the recommendation of The Gardening Club) to see their Christmas grotto, and a lovely grotto it is too. However, it’s not always easy getting the right shot and this month was no exception. First of all we photographed the baby reindeer beside the Christmas tree, then we found a cute little owl hiding in the snow, he looked lonely so we surrounded him with Christmas robins and holly berries, but it still didn’t seem right (you can see these images on our Facebook page and website). Then we spotted the lovely bright shiny red baubles and thought they would look lovely. Well, let me tell you, photographing baubles is not as easy as it sounds. Firstly, we had to try to hide all the price labels, then we had to move them around to get the best angle, but they were tied in bunches of 3 so move one and then 2 more follow! Anyway, we finally got the shot we wanted and this is the shot gracing our front cover. We hope you like it, we’re pleased with the result, and our thanks go to the Manager and staff at Beaconsfield Garden Centre for allowing us free reign to photograph.
