As the school closed for Easter we all had a very special person to say goodbye too. Mrs Zeun, our Headteacher, had decided to move on and there were a lot of little people with tear stained faces. I personally like to think of her as Holtspur’s very own natural phenomenon. I don’t think I have ever met a person so determined, hard working, passionate, caring or loved. She has the ability to be firm, whilst earning the children’s total respect and receiving their love at the same time. No mean feat if you ask me, especially in this day and age. I asked my gardening gang to describe Mrs Zeun in under three words, here are some of their replies: “fabulous” “fun” “amazing” “pretty” “sporty” “strict but nice” “a lovely lady” “nice hair” and one which I know will be her favourite “wears lots and lots of REALLY pretty shoes!”.
