Local Musician:
Ricardo Gonzalez
Amersham-based Conductor and Musical Director
Ricardo Gonzalez gave a brilliant performance
on Friday 6th March at St John’s Church, Notting
Hill. He conducted the Patrick Noronha Orchestra
for a concert entitled Music of the Spheres
Ensemble. The set list included the beautiful The
Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams with a violin
solo by Orpheus Papafilippou, and Beethoven’s
Symphony No7 in A Major Op 92. St John’s Church
provided an exquisite setting for the music, which
brought the audience to its feet. To see a short

Ricardo has been Musical Director for a variety
of local and national productions throughout his
career, his personal favourites being West Side
Story, Show Boat, Sweeney Todd and My Fair
Lady. He also conducted a combined Anglo/US
production of The Pajama Game
in New York City (off-Broadway).
Ricardo works in both London
and Buckinghamshire on a
regular basis. He is currently
Musical Director for two
local groups, Beaconsfield
Operatic Society and Ruislip
Operatic Society. His next
upcoming shows are Sister Act
(Beaconsfield) and Around the
World in 80 Days (Ruislip). Full
