Hitch Fit Living Magazine Volume 4 - January/February 2016 | Page 3

Welcome 2016! I don't know about you, but I love the start of a New Year. It's a time to reflect on the journey of the past year. The ups, the downs, the blessings and the challenges. I love to journal, and then look back to see where I was a year ago versus where I am today. What goals did I set that have been achieved? What milestones did I learn from? How have I grown? How have I changed? It's also a time to look to the future. A new chapter begins at the start of each New Year. It's up to me to write my chapter, and it's up to you to write yours! Yes, there are going to be a lot of unexpected twists and turns in the year ahead. That's a given. But despite the detours that may pop up along the way, where do you want to be in a year from now? What goals and dreams are you going to begin pursuing? How do you want to tackle them? One think I've learned is that my perspective on my goals makes the greatest difference as far as if they will be achieved or not. If I look at a goal, and no matter how great it is, I tell myself that I can achieve it if I'm willing to put in the discipline and dedication, the likelihood of attaining that goal at some point in the future is quite high. Fear is one thing that can pop up when you look at your goals. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, those are the most common ones. I challenge you in 2016 to be more afraid of what happens if you DON'T pursue a goal, than if you do. What are you going to miss out on? If you redirect your fears in a positive direction, by being fearful of the missed opportunity MORE than the fear of failure, then the sky will be the limit for you. With that thought in mind, I knew that we had to celebrate the launch of the New Year with a very special TRANSFORMATION edition of Hitch Fit Living. An incredible group of people have crossed paths with Hitch Fit in 2015. There have been so many stories, there have been tears, there have been overwhelming feelings of victory. There have been thousands of pounds of fat lost, but greater than that, there have been lives regained. I think of where many of these transformations were a year ago. Most were fearful of making lifestyle change. But the fear of missing out, the fear of what would happen if they didn't change, became more powerful than the fear of failure. So they went for it. And guess what? They succeeded. They discovered that they were capable of so much more than they imagined. Their stories are amazing and inspiring. We dedicate this issue to these incredible people, and will share many of their inspiring stories with links to their full features in this issue. And we couldn't think of a better cover girl to grace this special edition than Rock Star transformation Brandi Wisdom. It's 6 years since she began her own transformation journey. She has been the inspiration for thousands since that time! We hope that you enjoy this very special issue. We welcome your comments, feedback and ideas for topics for future issues. God Bless!
