As the time pass we've seen all kind of archery, The archery has been in the Olympics since the second Olympic games in Paris, Since 2000 Korea has been dominating all of their enemies, The Korean team in the 2016 Summer Olympic games won both team competition and individual competition, Men and women.
Archery has a long history at the Olympics, the Archery was available since 1900 and so it's been there until nowadays. 84 nations have competed in the Olympic archery event. France appeared there 31 times. In the second Olympic at Paris the archery appeared for first time ever as a sport. In 1972 there was only double Fita round(Men and women). In 1988 the team competition was played for first time in the history of the Olympics and it's still there today, Since that event was created it's been known as one of the most famous event in the Olympics.
Before a person gets to go to the Olympics they first have to qualify, There were 128 qualifying places for archery at the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. To be eligible at the Olympics the archers must achieved men 70 m round of 630 and women 70 m round of 600. Each committee can have six competitors 3 men and 3 women that qualify teams for a particular gender were able to send a three-member team to the team event and also have each member compete in the individual event. There were 12 team spots for each gender, thus qualifying 36 individuals through team qualification. All other committees may earn a maximum of one quota place per gender for the individual events. Six places are reserved for Brazil as the host nation, And a further six will be decided by the Tripartite Commission. The remaining 116 places are then allocated through a qualification process, in which archers earned quota places for their respective, though not necessarily for themselves.
