VIRIATO
Viriato was one of the most honourable Lusitanian military leaders , born somewhere between the Douro and the Tagus rivers . Living in the mountain made him a skilled warrior . Therefore , around 147 BC he became the leader of the usitanians against the Roman army . and so did rome ´ s policy . As the new governor didn ´ t agree with the treaty between Rome and Viriato , he abolished it . The struggle went on but rome ´ s victory was far to reach . To speed-up its ending Viriato was murder by three of his fellows who had been bribbed by Rome .
