Ethan IS Our HERO … We Love You!!!

MOST JOYOUS and GLORIOUSLY Blessed Belated Birthday ETHAN!

We had a little boy and named him Ethan (strong soldier, and Broderick- Brother) this is such a bitter sweet day. 7 years ago today our
lives were changed in the most amazing way. I never could have imagined the joy, one little baby boy could bring into our lives. From
day one he has been a happy mellow child. Eager to please everyone
around him. He shares everything, is beyond polite, funny, outgoing.
Just amazing. 2 years ago to date, our lives were torn in one of the
worst ways, and one of the hardest of our lives. We were supposed to
celebrate our son's 5th birthday, instead we were admitted to the
children's hospital, and told there was a 99% chance he had leukemia.
The last 2 years have not been easy. He had one port placement surgery, over 70 doctors' visits at the hospital, taken over 600 doses of
chemotherapy, (in pill form, iv form, and injected into his spine)
about 8 spinal taps, 4 extended visits in the hospital, 4-5 blood
transfusions, platelet transfusion and numerous other trials. Not
once did this child become resentful or ask why me. He has shared
joy with everyone in the hospital, and prays for other kids he meets
up there. This child has taught me more about life since the day he
was born, than any
