to live and appeared to breathe.
The craftsman's hands kneaded gently. I could tell He had a specific plan. He
knew exactly what He intended for this clay. Adding living water to soften,
flowing from the very palms of His hands, He caressed gently with the tenderness of an intimate lover.
With each touch, the clay easily softened, yielding to each caress. His determined plan was evident, to bring the loveliest piece forth. I came to know that
His touches were that of consistent love, never wavering.
I sensed His passion and longing for His art. He wasn't just creating, He
birthed LIFE!
My observation became astonishment as this formerly, worthless lump of
earth, evolved to the artist's very own image. This I knew, yet I never saw His
face.
My observations beheld the vessel with a deeper understanding of where it derived. A revelation knowledge surpassed all that my eyes could visualize! I now
sensed the touch of His skill. I felt every touch in my own being! His very
strong hands squeezed hard! They pushed. They prodded. They pulled. These divine hands stretched and stretched. Pushing back into place the clay He manipulated, as it became a vessel to behold!
I couldn't hold back my tears. They poured out like a fountain! I've never known
such love! His intentions were obviously purposeful. His tender care overcame
me.
To my dismay, I felt excruciating pain as the crafter created perfected art. With
apparent loveliness in mind, His tools were not the least. A sharpened sword cut
deeply into the side of an already perfect vessel. Shocked, I didn't understand
why.
I found myself thinking aloud as if a student of his teachings. But when my
questions formed, they were instantly answered. I just had to ask! "Why, Master Craftsmen, do you leave this crack in the side?"
