Sean Conn
Hello everyone my name is Sean Conn.
I represent the Northside of Queens, (Jamaica, Hollis, St.Albans) Area #QGTM
I can say music has been with me for as long as I can remember. My father used to sing and play the guitar and he was in a singing group while in the military. As a young child my father had me taking guitar lessons and I took up drums in band class, so music has always been with me. My mother and father also would play a variety of music (Soft Rock, Country, R&B and Pop) in the mornings before going to school and on the weekends.
I would say between my father being into music so much and my uncles, one played the drums in a band and for famous R&B and Soul singers. And my other Uncle was a renowned poet who was honored and recited is poetry in front of the United Nations
As far as Hip Hop music is concerned, My first experience was hearing my older cousins playing Whodini & Run DMC. Hip Hop really caught my eye running home after school to watch Video Music Box and seeing L.L Cool J, Big Daddy Kane & Rakim.
The first artist that inspired me to write rhymes was Redman, he was Lyrical, Comical and Hard Core at the same time. It struck a chord in me.
The music that I typically create is traditional classic hip hip, real emceeing the golden era sound with a newer edge to it. I have recently been experimenting with some new songs and vibes as Hip Hop keeps growing and evolving I am in-tune and continue to grow as an artist.
