They believe that there is one supreme being that lives in everything that is alive. They also believe that all of the gods that they believe in live in other worlds, away from human eyes. These gods can be communicated with in temples through prayer. Finally, the Vedas are the holy book of the religion. Almost, if not all of the things I’ve just said are in the Vedas. They are the holy history and guidelines of the Hindu religion that people of the religion are supposed to follow, like a Hindu bible.
Secondly, like all religions, there are certai moral codes that Hindu people have to abide by. One of their morals, relating back to the fact that every living thing is one supreme being, the believe that all life is sacred. Life is a gift given by the god(s), that’s a popular idea from most religions with gods, and it’s especially acknowledged within the Hindu culture. respected and treated as sacred.
That said, it’s also stated that all life should be respected and treated as sacred. For people in the Hindu culture, life is not a joke, so you should respect it whenever you can. Another moral widely adopted by those of the Hindu faith is that everyone should be respected because everyone has their own paths and beliefs and that is respectable. Basically, show respect to other people’s choices and how they want to live their lives
Hindu people, while for the most part live their life how they want to have some guidelines to live by in their religious beliefs. To start, they believe in Karma. Karma is basically the balance between good things and bad things you’ve done to or for people. If you have bad karma, you will reincarnate until you have paid it back. They also believe that rather than the universe being made at one point, Hindus believe that the universe is constantly being remade, from beginning to end over and over endlessly.
