life God created.
HimPower: Will you play the role of
Ciao Bella?
Karen Abercrombie: Yes, I will play her.
HimPower: What do you want people
to walk away feeling after they see Ciao Bella?
Karen Abercrombie: You don’t know
how it ends--I know they will not be able to
just cast them off after that.
HimPower: Do you have plans to make
the play into a movie?
Karen Abercrombie: If someone said
they wanted to make a movie, it would be
fine. But my focus right now is on my production company, Handmaiden Entertainment.
HimPower: Tell me about your vision
for Handmaiden Entertainment.
Karen Abercrombie: My focus is on
producing positive programming for the teens
and children. There’s so much out there that
doesn’t provide positive role models.
HimPower: You and your husband
Michael have one son. Has your son considered following in your footsteps?
Karen Abercrombie: No, he’s in school
in Massachusetts. Right now he’s in Hong
Kong studying bio-robotics that has something to do with fighting air pollution. He has
a deep spirit—I don’t know what God is going
to do with him.
HimPower: I saw where it says you are
“on a mission to use “ALL” of your God given
talents in excellence, to bring glory to the Creator.” Why do you think you feel so passionately about this?
Karen Abercrombie: I think people
need to make time for God to understand who
He is. He loved you into existence!
HimPower: What else would you like
people to know about you that hasn’t been
covered with the questions I’ve asked?
Karen Abercrombie: I love nature, walking in the dirt with my shoes off, gardening.
I’m also getting deeper in astronomy, the stars
and the night sky is amazing. See God’s creation wherever it is. All are different expressions of God’s love and His work. We want to
give value to what we think—we want to put
people in compartments. If people would get
an understanding that God loves everything—
our differences—loved us into existence, we
could appreciate each other better.
