I believe if I continue to encourage Black women and women in general around the world to begin to take a particular interest in a lifestyle change this will spark their interest in activities that are not only energetic and fun to engage in, but maximizes alternatives in exercise awareness. HimPower: What can others do to help you achieve your mission? We will soon begin to see women who have never tried dance as a way of fitness, for instance, Zumba, Belly and Timbuk African Dance, find joy in these exercises because it makes them aware of the natural movements that goes along with culture and heritage all while unknowingly burning up to hundreds of calories an hour. Adventurous women who are curious about biking, kayaking, boxing, or indoor rock wall climbing will find themselves connecting to like-minded individuals looking for the same. Crystal Adell: Stay positive and encourage one another and stop it with all of the negativity, PLEASE! I want everyone to know that encouragement is everything. By turning a negative phrase into a positive, I am now able to communicate positive reinforcements to a large following by simply writing the benefits of exercises through inspirational messages that I know will one day change the world. Proverbs 29:18 tell us where there is no vision, the people perish. With Crystal Adell’s vision and the movement she has created in BWDWO, there is no reason for any to perish. These are just some of the changes I have seen through some of the events that Black Women Do Workout has already provided in various cities around the U.S. with a considerable amount of turnouts. One of the most flattering compliments I have every received was by a former colleague and Cardiologist as being “The Oprah Winfrey of Fitness.” I would like to meet Oprah one day so that I can have an hour long discussion with her as the interviewer.
