Attitudes and Attire

T
here are so many pauses in this
story.
It all started when I walked by
a sign on a box that read “Attitudes
and Attire.” This was the first moment that
made me pause and smile. It was something
about those words that made me stare. I
wondered what this was about. I wondered
how fancy and fun this cause could be. I
wondered why the box was full of suits,
dresses and lightly worn or brand spanking
new button-down shirts, so I Googled the

The site read, “Attitudes & Attire®
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
promoting personal growth for women
seeking self-sufficiency. Our program
provides the tools that raise self-esteem,
promote ethics and build the confidence
necessary to develop successful life skills.”
After browsing the internet, I knew this
was the place I wanted to be. This was right
down my alley. I was anxious to inject even
more excitement to the women participating
