veryone who has ever experienced a
physical illness whether from some-
thing as simple as the common cold
to a life-threatening illness like can-
cer has valued and appreciated the deliver-
ance they received once they were healed.
No one wants to be sick.
Yet, millions are walking around sick
unto death and don’t even realize it. They
look healthy on the outside, but their phys-
ical appearance is deceiving. Their sickness
isn’t physical, it’s spiritual.
Each spirit-filled believer has a testi-
mony of deliverance from spiritual sickness.
Yet, few have reached the low point in their
lives that Juliane Wiebracht had when, at
age 16, she told Satan he could have her
soul. Today, she is a devoted Christian who
spends her time giving back and sharing
God’s love. Rather than being destroyed
by Satan, as she surely would have been if
God had not had a greater plan for her life,
Juliane is still here because of His mercy
and grace.
The truth is, each of us once lived
in sin, unsaved and destined for eternal
damnation. Those of us who have accepted
Christ as our personal Lord and Savior,
have been forgiven and live without
condemnation because His blood covers our
sin.
And since God has no respect of
persons, there is hope of healing for
everyone experiencing spiritual sickness.
Jesus paid the price for us all. “But He was
wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised
for our iniquities; The chastisement for our
peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are
healed.” Isaiah 53:5
It’s our prayer that by sharing Juliane’s
story, you will be encouraged that through
prayer there is still time for your friend
or loved (one who is in need of spiritual
healing) to be healed.
HimPower: What age were you when you
began drifting away from Christianity?
Wiebracht: I began distancing myself
from God somewhere around 14 or 15 years
old. I did not turn my back on Him over-
night, but it was more of a slow fade.
HimPower: We understand you were
brought up in a missionary family, tell us
about your childhood.
Wiebracht: The Philippines is a beautiful
country with beaches, mountains and thou-
sands of islands. I loved the country, the
food and had many good memories there.
One of the difficulties of being raised over-
seas, was the lack of educational opportuni-
ties in the area where I grew up. I left home
and went to a Christian boarding school at
age 12. I usually saw my parents for Fall,
Christmas, Spring and Summer breaks. This
was difficult on my parents and was also a
hard part of my childhood.
HimPower: Why do you feel you became
disillusioned with Christianity?
Wiebracht: There were multiple issues
that drew me away from God. In boarding
school, my friends became my family. I
