I will open double doors that no man can shut.
Isaiah 45:1
I
greet you again, HimPower community!
We are all eternally thankful for the gift of
life and the joy Abba Father has given us
through the birth of His son Jesus Christ.
During the holidays, I was riding with a
sister in-the-faith and a praise song came
on—the lyrics were “I am rich, I am loaded,
so much Money, God has blessed me”. The
sister asked if the songstress was rich, and
the Holy Spirit dropped a thought in my
heart and I wanted to should share it with
my HimPower family.
Almost all humans have needs that are
met with money. Many people want to be
rich and afford what they want. Actually the
Bible in Deuteronomy 28:12 tells us that “The
LORD will send rain at the proper time from his
rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the
work you do. You will lend to many nations, but
you will never need to borrow from them” (New
Living Translation). The Lord wants us to
be bountifully and richly blessed however,
everyone’s bank needs something different.
When Solomon was asked what he needed
the Lord to give him, he chose wisdom. In
our Christian growth, it is very beneficial to
seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, rest in
the bosom of the cross and ask the Lord to
open your heart and reveal what is needed
in your bank.
Secondly, prepare your heart, be sensi-
tive, ready and willing to accept what the
Lord knows that you need. For instance,
you may be asking for a new job but the
Lord knows that your bank needs “funds”
such as a change of heart. He sends many
people your way to teach you certain virtues
and embodiments such as patience, accep-
tance, love, wholeness and many others to
help you in your spiritual walk with him.
However, if you are not sensitive to the voice
and leading of the Holy Spirit and make
use of these “funds” the Lord has deposited
into your account, you may stay in that job
search longer than you thought you would,
leading to seemingly unnecessary delay.
Remember Isaiah 45:1; I will open double
doors that no man can shut. When He opens
the doors that you “need” not the doors you
“want” gladly accept it and bank on it.
Finally, be consistent in your walk with
God and be familiar with the leadings of
the Holy Spirit. When we are unable to
discern the voice of the Holy Spirit who
lives in us, we tend to only hear our human
“selfish” gut. “Do not put out the Spirit’s fire” 1
Thessalonians 5:19 (International Standard
Version).
