The fruit of our lives is the evidence of the regeneration of our soul, spirit and body. Likewise when we allow one seed of sin to be sown in our heart, and we allow it to germinate, it produces rotten fruit and our lives mirror the life of the devourer. We know that the enemy is constantly on the verge, seeking who to devour. Actually, 2 Corinthians 2:9-11 (NLT), places emphasis on the consciousness of our spirit: “I wrote to you as I did to test you and see if you would fully comply with my instructions. When you forgive this man, I forgive him, too. And when I forgive whatever needs to be forgiven, I do so with Christ’s authority for your benefit, so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes”. Be alert!!!!! If you feel you are still on the dark side of life, remember it is never too late to go back to the cross where His undying love is poured out for us. Hold on for a second, did you notice something? I almost started to get worried about people, yet that is why the Bible tells us that you are in the world but not of the world. Matthew 10:16 (American Standard Version); “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves”. Remember, that on the last day you will account for all you have done. No one will stand there with you, it will be you standing face-to-face with God. So in this view, I implore you to “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16, KJV). As you continue to intentionally do what pleases God, the world around you will eventually follow the path Jesus has called us unto. In all, let this word be your encouragement “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrew 11:6b KJV).  Chizoba Aniyumukwu is a Doctoral Student in the School of Public Health at Jackson State Univer- sity (MS).
