Editor’s Note
W
e can all agree, God is Good.
Period, emphatically and with-
out fail, He is good all the
time. The truth is, however, we
forget just how good He is, especially when
we’re going through whatever trial we face.
Once we make it through to the other side,
it is easier to look back and reflect on the
fact that it was His goodness that brought
us through--again.
Yet, it is the process that we are
required to go through for the refinement
that causes so much discomfort. At times, it
is downright painful. During the pain, His
goodness is not always what we feel even
when it is what we need to come through the
fire refined as pure gold.
Every believer wants to be as pure gold
before God--we simply want to avoid the
fire. Yet, our growth and maturity in Christ
requires discomfort. If it were easy or pain-
less, we would soon forgot or take our bless-
ings for granted rather than relying on Him
for everything.
As a reminder of the
goodness of God and
who He is, we begin our series featuring the
testimonies of believers who He has guided
through the storm and their refinement is
evident in their testimonies.
In this issue, we feature Frankl in
Bamberg, Jr., a police officer by profession.
He is also a veteran and a family man. And
as you will learn from his testimony, he has
tremendous faith.
Entitled, I’M STILL HERE, each
testimony will inspire you—and hopefully
remind each of us to make a conscious effort
to be more grateful to God for the blessings
He has given and continues to give to us
with His abundance of grace and mercy--
even when the blessings of refining come in
the form of fire.
Until next time, blessings to you and
yours…
