Woman:
Made in the Image of God
by Betty Parker
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our
likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the
birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a]
and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of
God he created them; male and female he created them.

ale and female he created them. If we
are all—male and female—created in
the image and likeness of God, then
what is God like? Since He is a spirit and there
is no physical image of Him, then our likeness
of Him must be in who we are and how we
are—not in how we look. The Word says we
are like Him, not that we look like Him. Let’s
get this point out of the way first. Gender
doesn’t matter, race doesn’t matter, body type
doesn’t matter, economic level doesn’t matter.
What we look like doesn’t matter. Too much
