HDI newest citizens on September 17 and two of them , Norene and Norman Mayor are featured in our finest , p8 / 9 . Norene and Norman , originally from Zimbabwe , moved to Australia in 2018 , and they are as proud as punch to be citizens ! The mayor welcomed 237 new citizens to the Hills Shire Council .

Hornsby Shire Council are again running the well-liked Native Plant Giveaway Program this month and are encouraging all residents to book a time to pick up four , free native plants . Pot and shade plants are available as well . In the autumn program earlier in the year a whopping 4,571 native plants were collected , but I am sure there will be no shortage this time around !
