For generations, communities like Mitchell have been built on hard work, aspiration and opportunity. Families have worked hard to buy a home, young people have saved for their future, and small businesses have taken risks to grow and create jobs. Retirees have planned carefully so they can support themselves and their families in later life.
Now Labor has decided to target capital in its latest budget and wants to collect an extra $ 77 billion in new taxes from families and business.
Labor’ s budget is a war on savings and capital which threatens our prosperity.
That is why many locals are deeply concerned about this year’ s Federal Budget.
Many people across Mitchell are asking a simple question: how does this make life easier for hardworking Australians trying to get ahead?
