EDUCATE ME

Our College Theme of Love

Each year, our college embraces a theme that shapes our learning and community. Last year, we explored wisdom together, and for 2026 we are delighted to be exploring love. We want our community to discover what it truly means for love to be the heartbeat of Norwest and Ngarra Christian Colleges- and to understand how deeply transformational Christ-like love can be.
Our college verse,“ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and love your neighbour as yourself.”, Matthew 22:37-39, reminds us to love God and love others. God is the expert on love. His love is huge and immeasurable, and when young people understand this and how deeply connected, they are to His love, this gives them the knowledge and confidence to love others well.
The Colleges’ friendly, caring environment nurtures individual growth and learning as academic, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual foundations are encouraged and developed in young lives. From the Early Learning Centre through to the Secondary Years, our staff are committed to genuine pastoral care, showing students God’ s love through both word and action. Throughout the year, we delight in welcoming families and friends to community events such as Mothers’ and Fathers’
Day breakfasts, Grandparents’ Day, WinterFest, assemblies, and end of year Celebrations- moments where love is shared, strengthened, and celebrated.
Growing hearts for service are a vital part of our mission. We want students to experience the joy of loving others both locally and globally through volunteering, mission, and service opportunities. Some of our Early Learning Centre and Secondary students participate in Jannawi, an intergenerational program connecting students with Anglicare residents. Each cohort also undertakes a service project to bless our local community through partnerships with organisations such as Carevan, the Jeremiah Project, and Mission Australia. Secondary students can further extend their service through mission opportunities including the Outback Mission Trip and Fiji Mission, where they share the gospel, offer practical help, and build meaningful relationships with communities in need.
Through love, it is our hope that students discover their God given purpose and flourish into the individuals He has designed them to be.
