SENIORS FESTIVAL
The Hills celebrates the wise and wonderful this Seniors Festival
This year’ s Seniors Festival is set to bring the community together in celebration of local seniors and their invaluable contributions, with The Hills Shire Council delivering a diverse weeklong program of free events.
From 5 to 12 March, residents aged 60 and over are invited to take part in a range of activities designed to support wellbeing, encourage connection, and promote active living.
Seniors can chat directly with experts at the Seniors Expo, improve balance and mobility during a relaxing Tai Chi session, or get hands-on at an environmental sustainability workshop. Those looking

to unwind and socialise can enjoy a special brunch at Castle Hill RSL or sit back and enjoy a screening of Elvis Presley in Concert at Event Cinemas.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne, said the festival is an opportunity to thank local seniors for the vital role they play in the community.
“ Our seniors bring energy, wisdom, and heart to The Hills – they are the backbone of our volunteering community, with 77 per cent of Council volunteers aged over 60,” Mayor Byrne said.
“ With so many older residents generously giving their time to make our community a better place, the Seniors Festival is our way of celebrating them and offering free activities that foster connection, activity, and enjoyment.
“ From movement to music to morning tea, there’ s something for every senior to enjoy.”
