LOCAL LIFE

Christmas- a special time to give and

receive with Rotary

This Christmas, the Rotary Club of The Hills-Kellyville is once again helping local families celebrate the festive season with a tradition that’ s all about giving and receiving. By visiting one of two convenient locations, families can receive a beautiful fresh Christmas tree, while the giving comes from knowing that 100 per cent of profits go directly to Rotary’ s community projects here and abroad. Fresh Christmas trees – two weekends only To ensure every tree looks its best for Christmas, Rotary will sell fresh, real Christmas trees across two December weekends:
· Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 December
· Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 December
Trees will be available from two easyto-access locations:
· The Bull & Bush Hotel( car park) – Cnr Windsor Rd & Seven Hills Rd, Baulkham Hills
· The Ettamogah Hotel( car park) – Cnr Windsor Rd & Merriville Rd, Kellyville Ridge
Both sites offer ample parking, with Rotary volunteers on hand to help families choose the perfect tree and even load it onto vehicles. Delivery can be arranged for those unable to transport a tree themselves. Sourced from premium farms in the Southern Highlands, each tree is freshly delivered for the sales weekends.
Another heartfelt Rotary initiative is The Giving Tree at Grove Square( formerly
Stockland Mall), Baulkham Hills. For more than twenty years, this project has supported people in need during the festive season. This year, up to 200 gifts will be distributed to children, young adults and women across three local women’ s refuges.
Every dollar raised from Christmas tree sales supports Rotary’ s vital work, including:
· Local youth programs, including literacy initiatives and a thriving community garden
· The Bourke Public School Breakfast Club, improving attendance and wellbeing
· Disaster relief, providing support to regions affected by drought, floods and bushfires
