VALE JOHN EBBOTT OAM On the 5th of May, The Hills Shire community laid to rest Mr John Ebbott OAM, a pillar of the community who volunteered tirelessly for over 40 years.
After service in the military, John joined APEX, and this began his life of service to the local community. John is most well know for helping establish the Crestwood Lions Club and he also cofounded the Crestwood Leos club.
He coordinated the Crestwood Fair during our local Orange Blossom Festival, and I served with him on The Hills Council Australia Day 355 Committee. For decades John was a RFS volunteer at different brigades and was a Brigade President, Deputy Captain, and Training Officer. John received the RFS honour, Life
Member of Hills Communication Brigade. John won many community citations and awards, and was also bestowed the honour of receiving the Medal of the Order of Australia. John is survived by his wife Kathy who served by his side, sons
Phil and Neil, and grandchildren Jemima and Henry to who I extend my deepest sympathy and condolences.
CONGRATULATIONS Kevin & Beryl Hore – 60th Anniversary
