My journey ...
It was approaching my 30th birthday ( over ten years ago now ) and I had been thinking for a long time about having anti-wrinkle injections ; I eventually decided to go for it ! I booked in at a clinic in Bondi .
When I arrived , I was met by the loveliest nurse who was administering my treatment .
Being a nurse myself I was very interested in the procedure and how everything worked . I mentioned to the nurse that I would like to get into the industry and left it at that .
A couple of months later I was at work at a local private hospital , and I got a call from the nurse at the Bondi clinic . She told she had just received a call from a company that wanted to get her on board , but the opportunity was just not right for her .
She mentioned to them that she had met me and referred me for the role . I met with both directors and the rest is history ! It was the best decision I have ever made , the company was awesome , and they trained me to the highest possible level . It was the perfect company for my entry into the industry !
For a while , I really wanted to work for myself , but the fear of leaving a secure job always held me back . My dad was in Sydney on holiday and we spoke about what I wanted to do , and he told me to take the risk and just do it .
Life is about taking risks , looking forward , and not having regrets wondering ‘ what if ?’ So finally , I opened Define by Jill in Windsor .

Having worked in and around the lower Blue Mountains area already for eight years , I knew I wanted my business to be in a community rather than an urban centre . Something was drawing me to the country charm of Windsor ; I don ’ t know what it was , maybe because I ’ m originally from England .
The nice community and chatting with the locals really drew me in . I came across a vacant business space on Macquarie Street and talked to the other business owners in the complex . They were all so welcoming and helpful , and I knew straight away that this was where I would open Define by Jill .
I genuinely love what I do . I love to draw and paint , and my job allows me to channel that artistic flare into my patients ’ aesthetics , but also deliver the most natural look possible for that patient .
I also love the daily interaction with patients and gaining a deep understanding of not just how they want to look , but understanding them as a person . In addition to the training that I have done in Sydney over the past 15 years , I have also travelled interstate and trained with leading surgeons and trained with the acclaimed Harley Street Academy in London . At the academy I upskilled my techniques and learned about trending procedures .
