I really think that we should all be educating ourselves better about our finances , regardless of how much we earn or have in the bank , because we can all make changes to our habits which can benefit us long term .

TOP 5 BEST HOLIDAY EPISODES FROM MY FAVOURITE SITCOMS
‘ Tis the season to cosy up with friends or family and watch Christmas themed movies . Now , I don ’ t want to be boring or basic and give you a list of my favourite Christmas movies because let ’ s face it , you ’ ve probably watched them a thousand times as well ( I ’ m talking Home Alone or The Grinch ). So , instead I ’ m going to recommend the best Christmas episodes from a selection of my favourite sitcoms to get you into the Christmas spirit . ( Over eight hours of Christmas content was consumed in the making of this , so it ’ s pretty accurate ).
Brooklyn Nine-Nine ( Netflix ) S3 E10 ‘ Yippie Kayak ’ Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of my top sitcoms of all time , and with eight seasons comes quite a few Christmas episodes . However , if you are a fan of the show , the one that comes to mind is season three ’ s ‘ Yippie Kayak ’. An iconic episode regardless of the Christmas setting , the premise centres around Jake , Charles and Gina getting trapped in a department store doing last minute Christmas shopping , and Jake ’ s ‘ Die Hard ’ fantasies become reality . Although Christmas is not the main focus of the episode , no other Christmas episode from Brooklyn Nine- Nine comes close to this one .
New Girl ( Disney +) S1 E9 ‘ The 23rd ’ New Girl is my go-to show whenever I am not feeling well or just need a little bit of quirky early 2010s comfort . Season one ’ s ‘ The 23rd ’ focuses on the group going to Schmidt ’ s office party where hilarity ensues . I think this is the best Christmas episode they ’ ve done because it really focuses on the group ’ s dynamics and leaves you with a wholesome Christmas feeling by the end .
Community ( Netflix ) S2 E11 ‘ Abed ’ s Uncontrollable Christmas ’ Community may be an unconventional show , but it is one of my favourites . One of main reasons for this is because every

season they do a ‘ special themed episode ’ that mimics a common trope or style of media . In season two , their Christmas special was done claymation style and it works beautifully .
I love how they always do these creative and seemingly risky episodes , but it pays off every time . ‘ Abed ’ s Uncontrollable Christmas ’ stays true to the classic holiday movie motif of finding the true meaning of Christmas .
Modern Family ( Disney +) S1 E10 ‘ Undeck the Halls ’ Modern Family is a modern sitcom classic , and its holiday episodes are no different . ‘ Undeck the Halls ’ centres around the Dunphy family where the kids get into trouble and Phil and Claire threaten to take away Christmas . In my rewatching of all the holiday episodes , this one was the most entertaining and nostalgic to me . Because it ’ s in season one , everyone looks so young and it ’ s so comforting to watch . Although it doesn ’ t have the typical Christmas vibes as it is set in California , it still manages to get you into that holiday mood .
Friends ( Netflix ) S2 E9 ‘ The One With Phoebe ’ s Dad ’ Friends was the first sitcom I ever watched and one of the only shows I ’ ve rewatched countless times , so choosing just one Christmas episode was a difficult challenge . However , although ‘ The One With the Holiday Armadillo ’ is iconic , ‘ The One With Phoebe ’ s Dad ’ just gave off those wholesome , nostalgic , 90s Christmas in New York vibes that I needed . It ’ s got a classic Friends ’ plot that focuses more on Christmas , unlike some of the other holiday episodes , so this was the best choice .
