Record toll relief
The NSW Government is putting more cash back into the pockets of drivers than ever before with the first payments from its new toll relief scheme just around the corner .
Drivers will soon be able to apply for the new scheme , with payments expected to be made into drivers ’ bank accounts from mid-January 2023 , backdated to July 1 , 2022 .

$ 100 First Lap and Active Kids vouchers
With summer sport kicking off , the NSW Government is encouraging families to boost their budget by downloading their Active Kids and First Lap vouchers . These programs are part of more than 70 NSW Government rebates and vouchers under Savings Finder . Active Kids provides families of school-aged children with two $ 100 vouchers per year towards the cost of sport and active recreation fees . First Lap

2022 Mitchell Youth Leadership Forum
provides children aged 3-6 years old , who are not at school , with a $ 100 voucher per year towards the cost of swimming lessons . Local sport funding - apply now Applications are open for the NSW Government ’ s Local Sport Grant Program .
The program aims to support grassroots sporting clubs to increase participation , host events , improve access and enhance sport and recreation facilities . The program provides grants of up to $ 10,000 , with $ 50,000 available in each NSW electorate .

Applications open for DV project funding
Applications are open for the 2022 Local Domestic and Family Violence Committee grant program .
Under this program , committees are able to apply for grants of up to $ 1,800 to fund a range of important initiatives aimed at raising awareness about domestic and family violence , reinforcing messages about positive behavior , and engaging local community groups .
Applications close on 23 October 2022 at 11.59pm .

Geoffrey and Mrs Valerie Wainwright - 60th wedding anniversary
After the past two years with restrictions due to COVID-19 and having to find a new site to host the forum , the 2022 Mitchell Youth Leadership Forum held on 13-15 October at the YMCA , Yarramundi was an incredible success . Together with Tristan Smith , chief executive officer , it was a privilege to host another 150 student leaders from across 16 schools at the 21st Mitchell Youth Leadership Forum .
The students who attended brought an immeasurable amount of energy , enthusiasm , and passion to the forum . It was incredible to watch their growth throughout the weekend and I can ’ t wait to follow their success back at the schools and within our wider community .
Students participated in team building activities , small group discussions , and a community service project at Aminya Village and McCall Gardens . They heard inspiring talks from Shane Fitzsimmons AO AFSM , Kylie Captain , Matt Caruana , Matt Kershaw and Barnaby Howarth .
I would like to thank our devoted volunteer team consisting of over 70 leaders and committee members who
worked tirelessly throughout the year and over the 2.5 days to support these students .
Their passion and dedication in developing the next generation of leaders is nothing short of admirable and the Mitchell Youth Leadership Forum would not be possible without them . These leaders are exceptional examples for the students and display the forum ’ s values of service , integrity and courage throughout their daily lives .
