Hills United Women ’ s keep rolling on

Hills United have been in absolute red hot form in the 2022 FNSW League One Women ’ s competition and despite suffering their first couple of defeats of the season after 18 games , that doesn ’ t mean their momentum will end anytime soon .
The side sits first on the ladder while sharing points with the Gladesville Ravens , edging them by just four goals in the goal difference column with Gladesville still having a game in hand .
United have built their team around its strong defence , conceding just nine goals in their 18 games so far , while scoring 44 – averaging 2.44 goals scored per game and averaging 0.5 goals conceded per game .
Hills United began the season with 14 straight wins before a draw with Nepean FC and losses to Northbridge Bulls and their closest competitors this season , the Ravens . Despite the minor setback , they ’ ve got their season back on track following a dominant 6-1 victory over the Southern Districts Raiders .
While some of the leading goal-scorers in the competition are sitting on 20 goals or more , the Hills United team have showcased their teamwork and versatility – sharing the goals among them . Imogen Lane and Isabella Sciberras are tied top scorers with eight each while Annie Halls sits on seven goals and Ellen Berios also has six goals to her name . The team has 12 games left for the season before the finals series commences to find out if this powerful Hills United side can go all the way to victory .
