It is a great honour to have been reelected as the Member for Berowra . I was also honoured and humbled that Peter Dutton has invited me to be the Shadow Attorney-General and Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians . I have had a long and deep interest in both these areas of public policy .
As Shadow Attorney-General I will support the protection and improvement of the legal system which keeps our community , and all Australians , safe and free .
Australia ’ s legal institutions , which are some of the oldest in the world , are critical to the success of our democracy .
And as Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians , I want to commit myself
to doing all I can to improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians who are the custodians of the oldest continuous culture in the world and hold an important place our communities .
I want to acknowledge the Darug and Guringai nations who are the traditional owners of the land in our community . I look forward to continuing to work with community elders like Uncle Laurie
Bimson to find practical ways to support Indigenous peoples in Berowra and across Australia .
My first priority as a member of parliament always will be to serve our amazing community . I love the Berowra community and always do my best to serve our community in Parliament . I ’ m excited to continue to fight for the people of our community both at home and in Canberra .
