All-hours library locker service

Click-and-collect your next library books at the new lockers out the front of Baulkham Hills Library .
Open 24 hours , the service operates like a parcel locker , where library card holders can reserve a book or resource online and then collect it in a secure location when it ’ s ready .
Mayor of The Hills Shire , Dr Peter Gangemi said this new collection system will only add to the library ’ s popularity and easeof-access .
“ We want to make sure our residents can access this popular service at any time of the day , especially as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve . We also want them to remain safe ,” Mayor Gangemi said .
“ These lockers are an innovative way to access and borrow from our library collection without needing to set foot in our libraries .”
Just select “ library lockers ” as the pickup location through the online library catalogue .

An email and SMS will notify the borrower the items are waiting to be collected , along with a code to unlock the lockerItems can be collected for up to three days . Adding to this service , Grab and Go Bags are now available for pick-up from your local Library branch .
These themed bags - such as fantasy , action , sci-fi and much more - come pre-packed with five books hand-picked by our librarians . Both children and adult bags are available .

Premier ’ s Gala Concert

Free tickets now available

Celebrated Aussie acts including Christine Anu , Shannon Noll and Phil Burton from Human Nature will lead the line-up for the highly anticipated Premier ’ s Gala Concerts during this year ’ s NSW Seniors Festival .
With this year ’ s them of ‘ reconnect ’ the festival will allow seniors to come together after COVID-19 restrictions which left many isolated .
Singer Shannon Noll can ’ t wait to perform because seniors have “ done so much for our and future generations ”.
“ It ’ s really important to celebrate and support them . Performing at these concerts is my small contribution to giving back to them ,” Shannon said .
Member for Castle Hill Ray Williams MP said free tickets to the concerts , to be held at ICC Sydney on 30 and 31 March , are available through Ticketek now .
“ The NSW Government hosts the Premier ’ s Gala Concerts each year to thank seniors for their contributions to our communities ,” Mr Williams said .
“ These concerts are hugely popular among our seniors for good reason .
“ They provide a great opportunity for them to enjoy musical and variety acts from some of Australia ’ s favourite artists , as well as have fun and meet new friends .
“ The concerts will be live-streamed so Castle Hill residents who can ’ t attend in person can still enjoy the shows .”
Thousands of seniors are expected to attend the concerts and the NSW Seniors Festival Expo , which is held over the same two days at ICC Sydney . The free expo will feature more than 50 exhibitors showcasing the latest in travel , health , lifestyle and services , along with creative workshops and giveaways for all to enjoy .
