It ’ s time to DE stash – AGAIN !
Ladies from Elouera Cottage Crafts with items ready for DE stash .
Following the success of their previous Fabric and Wool DE stash in 2022 , the ladies of Elouera Cottage Crafts are organising another .
What is a DE stash ? It ’ s an opportunity to downsize , re-purpose , re-home excess fabric , wool , yarn , and craft supplies from your collection ( stash ).
Our De stash day also helps by preventing these items from ending up in landfill . This year ’ s event will be held on Saturday 20th April 9am – 1pm in the Hall at Cherrybrook Uniting Church , 134 New Line Road , Cherrybrook . Join in the fun with other crafters or hire a table and make some cash from unwanted items that you may have in your own craft stash .
Elouera Cottage Crafts also gratefully accept donations ( by 6th April ) of any patchwork , dress fabric and wool .
Visit on 20th April and browse the many stalls of ‘ DE stashed ’ items and perhaps find a bargain or two !!

Second Hand Market comes to Hornsby
Following the success of the popular Car Boot and Clothing Swap markets last year , a second-hand market will be coming to Coronation StrEat , Hornsby for the first time on Sunday , 14 April 2024 . The market provides residents with an opportunity to declutter some of their preloved items in an environmentally conscious manner , offering others the opportunity to discover thrifty treasures .
The market is part of Council ’ s Second-Hand Hornsby initiative , which also includes an innovative service on Council ’ s website allowing residents to advertise their garage sales and plan their day of visiting sales across the Shire .
Council is encouraging locals to reduce the number of items sent to landfill , by instead opting to give their unwanted items a new lease on life . Some of the items that will be on offer at the Second-Hand Hornsby Market include clothing , toys , furniture , books , sporting equipment and other household items . Hornsby Shire Council Mayor the
Hon Philip Ruddock AO has called on
the local community to get involved in the fun-filled initiative . The stalls are already booked out , but you can still play a part in helping conserve Hornsby Shire ’ s environment .
“ I encourage residents to take this fantastic opportunity to come together and experience the fun of second-hand markets ,” Mayor Ruddock said .
“ Buying from one of the stall holders at the Second-Hand Hornsby Market is environmentally , socially and financially rewarding , and will reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill .”
The market will run from 9am-1pm in the car park on Coronation Street and in the new Coronation StrEat space .
There will also be a bike repair demonstration at the bike station under the new ghost building structure next to the car park .
