A Hills gymnastics club and a number of its athletes have won multiple prestigious awards at the Gymnastics NSW Annual Awards .
Sydney Hills Gymnastics took home a suite of accolades in front of 600 people gathered at Doltone House in Pyrmont , Sydney on Sunday , February 11 . The awards event is held annually to celebrate the local and international successes of clubs , gymnasts , coaches and officials within NSW .
The club , which runs classes in both Castle Hill and Bella Vista , has brought home the coveted titles of Men ’ s Gymnastics Club of the Year , Men ’ s Gymnastics International Coaching Team of the Year and Men ’ s Gymnastics Junior Development Coaching Team of the Year .
In what was a remarkable year for the club , athletes from Sydney Hills Gymnastics nabbed nine medals at the Australian Gymnastics Championships and won 13 medals at international events , highlighting the club ’ s dominance in

men ’ s artistic gymnastics .
Two men ’ s artistic gymnasts and two acrobatic gymnasts were also recognised at the annual awards .
Daniel Chalabov was named Men ’ s Gymnastics Junior International Athlete of the Year . The 16-year-old represented Australia at the Austrian Future Cup , where he won gold medals in the all-around , pommel and parallel bars events . He followed up this impressive performance with a gold on pommel and silver on rings at the Olympic Hopes Cup .
Meanwhile , Sydney Hills gymnast Noah Saad has shown great promise at a young age . The nine-year-old was awarded Men ’ s Gymnastics International Development Athlete of the Year after showing his prowess at the NSW Championships . He enters this year ’ s competition as the reigning state champion in his age group , having also won gold on floor , pommel horse , rings , parallel bars and high bar . Over in acrobatic gymnastics , teammates Catherine Boffa and Hana Heo

were named Acrobatic Gymnastics Senior Levels Group of the Year . The Level 9 pair built on their scores throughout state and national events , finishing the 2023 season as Australian Champions .
Gymnastics NSW CEO Rebecca Shaw congratulated all the clubs and athletes who were nominated and won in their category . Ms Shaw said it was exciting to celebrate the successes within the sport , which has become the third most popular activity for children in NSW .
Last year , Gymnastics NSW recorded close to 72,000 participants in more than 200 affiliated clubs .
“ We truly appreciate the dedicated people that make up our amazing and foundational sport ,” Ms Shaw said .
“ Our community had an outstanding year , with 99 NSW athletes and officials chosen to represent Australia across 197 assignments . Last year , we were able to build of previous accomplishments to claim 45 international medals and come out as the top state at the Australian

Gymnastics Championships .
