U15 Girls
The U15 Hillcrest girls’ basketball tournament
lived up to the expectations as a thrilling event.
It was exciting to see the Hillcrest B team try
their best, although losing three matches and
getting a walk over Rusinga who failed to turn
up in time.
On the other hand, Hillcrest A played their
hearts out and started by beating Peponi 8-7,
Nairobi Academy 20-0, St. Christopher’s 12-4,
and Makini School 8-0. The team qualified to
the semifinals where they beat Peponi (again!)
in a thrilling semifinal.
Our girls lost to Brookhouse 26-11 in the finals
to be runners-up in the tournament.
The tournament’s most valuable player was
our very own Miracle Denga.
This team is composed of hardworking and
dedicated players who pushed through
sweat, blood and tears to reach the finals of
the tough league and I salute them for the
exemplary performance.
