Nairobi Region Secondary Schools
Swimming Championship
Towards the end of the season,
Hillcrest was represented by five
swimmers in the Nairobi Region
Swimming Championship at
Aga Khan High School. Having
competed at district and sub
regional levels, this meant
that the competition would
be tougher at each subsequent
level. Being the last event before
nationals, all top swimmers
from Nairobi County were
88
present which gave the event
glamour and pomp. The
Hillcrest swimmers were
impressive.
Alexandra Kranck - Gold in
50m and 100m backstroke,
Silver in 50m freestyle and
qualified for nationals.
Yvonne Njoroge - Gold in 50m
butterfly, Silver in 100m freestyle
and qualified for nationals.
Tanam Mohata - Gold in
50m breaststroke, Bronze in
100m breaststroke and in 50m
freestyle and qualified for
nationals.
Damon Oosterik - Bronze in
50m and in 100m backstroke.
Gray Mccarthy - Finalist in 50m
backstroke and in freestyle.
