East African
Secondary Schools
Sports Association
Having competed and qualified
at the district, county, region
and national championships,
two swimmers from Hillcrest
qualified to represent Kenya
at the East African Secondary
Schools Games that were
held in Eldoret – Kenya. This
was the third time for Kelly
Antrobus and second time for
Alexandra Kranck to compete at
this highest level of the games.
Previously, Kelly held the games’
records in 50m and 100m
backstroke while Alexandra held
86
a record
in the junior 50m backstroke.
Our prolific swimmers went to
Eldoret to do what they have
al-ways done best; break
records! Alexandra broke
her previous record in 50m
backstroke and set a new one
in 100m freestyle, while Kelly
equally broke her own old
records in senior 50m and 100m
backstroke.
The Kenyan team emerged
overall winners, beating Uganda,
Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and
South Sudan.
The following is a summary of
the performance of our
swimmers:

4 Gold medals in 50m and
100m backstroke, 50m
freestyle and in 4x50m
mixed medley relay.
Alexandra Kranck
