Intro to Esports
Turn passion for video games into valuable life skills ! Play some of the most popular Esports games , compete with and against each other in tournaments , and learn important lessons along the way .
3D Printing & CAD
Learn the 3D printing process from start to finish . Design 3D objects using TinkerCAD and use the 3D slicing program Cura to bring your creations to life . Printing and material fee included .
Video Production for YouTube
Learn how to create YouTube content ! Shoot videos , edit sound , and create an online presence with YouTube . Learn the tricks that pro filmmakers use for better shots , lighting , sounds and learn to use our film editing software , then work on a group unboxing or product review video . Then share your finished video with the world . Bring a USB drive ( at least 8 GB ) to save your video on the last day .
Drone Programming
Learn to program and fly at the same time ! Working in groups , use drones that can be programmed to perform aerial maneuvers with entry level , block-based coding . Put your programming skills to the test with a variety of fun challenges .
Tartan Volleyball Camp
This camp will focus on furthering the fundamental skills of advanced players while emphasizing advanced techniques , strategies and positional training . Each day will consist of multi-skill drills , advanced positional training , and further practice of systems of play , such as team defense , team offense , team blocking , on-court communication , and second systems . Players that will be entering the high school program should register for this camp .
Tartan Dance Camp
If you have ever thought about joining the Tartan Dance Team , this camp will be focused on developing dance team skills , tricks and choreography . Taught by TDT coaches , join the TDT dancers to prepare for the 22-23 season ! All genders are welcome . No dance experience necessary !
Driver ’ s Education with Safeway
Classroom and behind-the-wheel lessons emphasize defensive driving techniques tailored for the inexperienced teen driver . The class fee includes classroom and behindthe-wheel lessons and all materials . Payment plans available .
Classroom instruction totals 30 hours , structured into 10 independent lessons . Students can take the class at age 14½ but cannot take their permit test until age 15 . If choosing the virtual classroom option , the State of Minnesota requires that students are in front of a camera and interactive for the full three hour class . After class is completed , students who are 15 years old are eligible to take their permit test at any Minnesota exam center . The permit test is not provided during the class . Behind-thewheel instruction includes six hours of driving in three , two-hour private lessons . All driving is done in a real car on actual city streets , highways and freeways with a responsible , licensed Safeway instructor .
