High Point Holidays Walking Holidays Brochure 2019 2019 | Page 63
Essential Information
Insurance
Travel insurance is a condition of booking. It is NOT included with
the holiday. It is essential that the insurance covers the activity
involved in your holiday and includes medical expenses, loss or
damage of personal property, injury, death, repatriation,
cancellation and curtailment.
European citizens travelling within the EEA are entitled to a
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which simplifies the
procedure when receiving medical assistance during their stay
in a member state.
Some other services such as mountain rescue are not covered by
the EHIC, and are not always free. Therefore it is a prerequisite
of all our activity holidays that each guest takes out a travel
insurance policy for the entire duration of the holiday
which is appropriate for the activity.
Safety
The safety of our customers is paramount.
On our guided holidays, each walker must conform to the
safety advice given by the leader. High Point Holidays accepts
no responsibility for an accident resulting from individual impru-
dence. High Point Holidays reserves the right to exclude at any
moment, and without liability or any further contractual obliga-
tions, any customer whose actions or behaviour is likely to put
in danger the safety of the group or the well-being of the other
customers. As the leader is responsible for the safety of all
group members, he may adopt a cautious approach depending
on local conditions. Do be aware that itineraries planned for
some holidays and treks may be varied on the spot because of
weather conditions, conditions underfoot and the ability of party
members. Please carefully read our conditions in full overleaf.
Further details will be provided at the time of booking.
Passport Requirements &
Health
You will be required to have a full passport valid for more
that 6 months after the departure date. Non British citi-
zens should check with the relevant authorities as to their
visa requirements for all countries.
Morocco has recommended immunisations.
Further details will be provided at the time of booking.
On self-guided holidays you must follow the advice
given in our walking and cycling guides.
High Point Holidays accepts no responsibility for incidents
or accidents resulting from error or imprudence, such as
not following our advice, an error in navigation or your
physical health.
