Pyrenees Trails
O
ur Pyrenees trails walking holidays discover two beautiful and
relatively quiet areas of the Pyrenees mountains in southern
France. The first explores the Cerdagne, a picturesque plateau,
lying at 2000m in the Eastern Pyrenees. It is a delectable landscape
scoured and shaped by Ice Age glaciers leaving behind deep
ravines, rocky knolls & an array of beautiful mountain lakes, surrounded by alpine meadows and imposing mountains. This selfguided holiday is designed to be accessible and interesting to both
occasional hill walkers & experienced trekkers alike in an area
reputed for its sunny climate and natural open air warm springs.
Our second holiday goes onto the sides of the delightful and luminous Azun Valley where you’ll marvel at the wonderful panoramas and the well preserved mountain villages. Four of the days
have both moderate and more challenging options to suit different
abilities and as the week progresses you’ll enter the stunning high
mountains of the Pyrenees National Park peppered with beautiful
lakes, rich green forests, mountain pastures and beautiful lakes.
