High Point Holidays Where the Experience is Everything Baronnies Guided 2016 Cover photo: Queyras W elcome to the 2017 edition of our Walking Holidays Brochure. There are some important changes to tell you about for 2017. But first, what’s New for 2017. We have several new self guided walking holidays in France including an addition to our Beaujolais holidays, Lyon’s Beautiful Secluded Hills; a walking trail through a landscape of gentle rolling hills from the southern Beaujolais to the edge of the Cote du Rhone vines. We also have a new wine trail in the Rhone Valley, a region of beautiful landscapes as well as classic wines - Cote du Rhone Wine Trail. We have a flexible (you choose number of days and locations) selfguided holiday in the Baronnies and a wonderful trek through the High Pyrenees (Traversing the Pyrenees National Park). Also we have a new circular trail in the Alps, Grand Tour of the Ubaye, as well as guided Snow Shoeing in the Queyras. For this year we have taken the decision to cease offering our scheduled guided walking holidays; that is to say, small group holidays with set dates. However, we will still be offering guided walking holidays to ‘private’ groups of 4 or more people on a date of their choice. Occasionally, where several singles or couples have expressed an interest in a guided holiday, we may be able to organise a trip for a date that suits and advertise the week for others to join. This will be subject to minimum numbers and availability. Please also note that our holiday prices are now on a separate ‘price list.’ For the first time, because of the volatility of the pound against the Euro, we retain the option to update our prices during the course of the year. However, once you’ve booked and the price in pounds is agreed, unless indicated to you, then this price will be the price you pay on final payment. If you’ve yet to come on one of our walking holidays, I’d just like to tell you a bit about our philosophy. We aim to provide a genuine opportunity for you to feel part of the local way of life through our choice of accommodation, many of which provide full or half board making our holidays excellent value for money. Quality of service and standards are never compromised in providing the High Point experience and we are committed to bringing you a personal and flexible service to help you get the most out of your holiday. Our aim is to make your holiday the High Point of your year. For those new to High Point Holidays, we hope you’ll enjoy browsing our walking holidays which range from gentle strolls through beautiful vineyards to challenging mountain treks. There are walks to suit all tastes and abilities and most of our holidays can be tailored to match your requirements. So please don't hesitate to contact us to help us create that perfect holiday. All our cycling holidays can be viewed online and in a separate brochure on request. Also excluded from the brochure are a handful of self-guided holidays and some destinations, such as Morocco and Spain where we can run guided walks for private groups. If you are part of a walking group, then we can cater for larger numbers, as we have successfully arranged self guided and guided bespoke holidays in recent years. Thanks Again to everyone of you that walked or cycled with us in 2016. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
