Modern Day Miracles
D
id you know that in order to be a
saint, a panel of experts must first be
able to investigate and approve a
miracle attributed to the person considered
for canonization? If the miracle refers to a
miraculous healing, said healing must be
investigated by doctors and must pass
certain conditions for it to be miracle: the sick
person must have an illness for which there is
no cure and after a prayer towards a potential
saint, there should be a spontaneous,
complete and lasting healing for which no
scientific explanation can be given.
St. Faustina Kowalska
The healing of a woman
from Lymphedema in 1981
and the healing of Father
Ronald P. Pytel from a heart
condition in 1995.
Louis and Zélie Martin
The healing of an Italian
boy Pietro Schiliro from lung
trouble in 2003 and the
healing of another child,
Carmen from cerebral
hemorrhage in 2009.
