James 5:1416
World English Bible (WEBBE)
14 Is any amongst you sick? Let him call for
the elders of the assembly, and let them
pray over him, anointing him with oil in the
name of the Lord, 15 and the prayer of faith
will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will
raise him up. If he has committed sins, he
will be forgiven. 16 Confess your offences to
one another, and pray for one another, that
you may be healed. The insistent prayer of
a righteous person is powerfully effective.

and prayed to the LORD, 3 and said,
“Remember now, the LORD, I beg you, how
I have walked before you in truth and with a
perfect heart, and have done that which is
good in your sight.” Then Hezekiah wept
bitterly.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought our peace was on him;
and by his wounds we are healed.

that we, having died to sins, might live to
righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
